A small core of colder air mass in upper air was moving from central Europe over the Northern Balkans:

At my target location the forecast said it will be around 1000J/kg and Lifted Index around -4°C, with the map above this was a good chance to get an outbreak like actually happened that day:

At around 15:20 UTC I noticed some strong cells on radar which were progressing into Slovenia from N-NW directions (from Austria), the center was around 20km NW of Maribor at this time. Another strong cell (hailstorm) was approx. 15km N-NW of Murska Sobota and progressing to the S-SE. Also there were some isolated cells in central Austria which were moving in the same direction. I decided to wait some more time in Zirje, before I went to Trojane over Ljubljana, these cities are marked on the map.

At 16:00 UTC cells became more organized. The most powerful cell was situated over the Slovenske Konjice nad Zrece area where strong winds, heavy rain and a huge hail (some reports say aprox. 5cm in diameter) caused a lot of house and cars damage, also hundreds of broken trees by strong wind. The cell which was situated NW of Murska Sobota half an hour ago progressed S-SE over the Ljutomer city, where also was a strong hailstorm. Another isolated cell also developed approx. ~10km NW of Slovenj Gradec. The cells in central Austria became well organized and stronger...

...like it can be seen on the VIS satellite image. Also there is great visible the supercell which caused an intense hailstorm over Slovenske Konjice area. Also an "overshooting top" is visible on this image:

I quickly dispatched towards central Slovenia. While I was near Vrhnika I have already seen a massive Cb in
front of me in ENE directions (Time: 17:20 UTC):

Few minutes later (near Brezovica) I noticed these huge Cumulus congestus clouds on the south, but it was all moving to the
south so this wasn't that interesting like the other formations in the north (Time: 17:28 UTC):

Meanwhile those cells merged into a impressive squall-line. When I was approaching Blagovica the frontline with Cb arcus was right in front of me (Time: 17:53 UTC):

Looking at IR satellite shows this merged cells even better:

When I arrived to Trojane I checked the radar. Unbelivable great squall-line with many strong cells (marked with arrows) is quickly progressing towards S-SE. All these cells were hailstorms! They caused a lot of damage, especially because of the strong wind and hail.

There were also many lightning in these storms:

I managed to catch some of theme with my digital camera as well.
